Product Overview
Shell Flour is made from finely ground Mollusk Shell and is also known as Aragonite, an ocean based source of calcium that is low in magnesium. Aragonite or mollusk shell flour contains a combined total of 97% calcium carbonate and calcium silicate. This finely ground mollusk shell has a consistency like fine beach-sand making it an excellent addition to clay soils. Aragonite can also be added to potting mixes, planting mixes and soil-block mixes.
Aragonite meal supplies a minimum of 33% - 40% immediately available calcium and will slowly release the remaining calcium over the years ahead making permanent improvement to soils where it is applied.

Application Rates:
Flower Beds / Vegetable Gardens and Amending a new soil
- 3 - 6 lbs. per 100 square feet
- For transplanting add 1 - 2 tbsp per 4" - 6" planting site
- Amending soil mixes or new container plantings: Apply 1/4 to 1 cup per gallon of potting mix.
