These 400 micron mesh bags are the perfect fit for containing your compost when brewing compost tea. The 400 micron size will allow the full diversity of microbes to easily pass from the compost into your aerated compost tea.
These 400 micron compost tea filter bags have a drawstring closure, a 7" opening and are 16" long allowing you to easily contain 5+ lbs of compost. They are machine washable, reusable and made from a multi-filament polyester .
Most backpack spray applicators will work well with teas filtered thru 400 micron mesh bags.

Great size and quality. Already used it to make a good batch of tea and it seems to have allowed a good saturation.

I used the 400 mesh to brew castings tea and noticed the difference in how much cleaner the tea tank was at the end when compared to how if it was with the 40 mesh bags. The only suggestion I have is to try to sew a piece of sturdy cloth on all 4 sides and to add a zipper. A ring to attach a carabiner would also be nice.

It was nice to clog the spray nozzle of 2 different sprayers after brewing and straining the tea through these bags

5 Compost Tea 400 Micron Mesh Strainer

It can be used as a tea bag but since I make 6 5 gallon buckets of tea a week, I just use it as a strainer. I use heavy gauge wire formed in a circle to hold it open over a empty 5 gallon bucket and pour the un-strained tea through it. When I'm finished, I spray it off with the hose. I have used it several times and it is holding up well and filters better than the paint strainers I used before.
